Years ago my mother had a passion about crystal glassware. Hand cut crystal came under the name of Bohemia crystal and Waterford crystal as well as others from Europe I’ve forgotten.  There were Pilsener glasses, champagne glasses, hock, claret and sherry glasses, whiskey, highball and port glasses; there were punch sets with cups that hung on the side of the bowl; and there were water sets as well as glasses for every occasion.   For the celebration of my young sister’s engagement, all the crystal ware came out to be used.  Even though the guests gathered outside on the paved patio, not one item got broken.

The point is, when you serve your very own home made brewed beer to your guests, always do so in the very best glass to suit the occasion.  There is nothing more pleasing than to hold up to the light a sparkling clear glass of sparkling amber liquid with bubbles rising and a small frothy head knowing that it is an example of your very own malty hoppy drop.  Make the best and serve the best.
